The systems your business runs on

Hi, I am Pooh, a freelance developer based in Bangkok, Thailand. I build the back-office systems that keep a business running day to day, along with the websites that bring customers to it. And I stay around after launch, because that is usually when the useful questions start.

Asking costs nothing and you are not committing to anything. I read every email myself.

Working together from a distance

What it is like to work with me in Bangkok

I am based in Bangkok, Thailand. If you are in Europe, my afternoon lands in your morning. Australia and Singapore are close enough that it barely registers. For clients in the Americas, we agree on one slot each week that genuinely works for both of us, and we keep it.

I work my own hours here in Bangkok, but you should never have to do time-zone arithmetic to find out how your project is going. Progress updates and check-ins happen at whatever time suits you, in your time zone. In between, the scope stays written down and the work stays visible as it goes, so nothing about it should feel like guesswork. That is how I work with everyone, whether you are across town or on the other side of the world.

I also work in Thai. If you run a business in Thailand and your team does not use English, I can give you an owner's view in English and a staff view in Thai from the same system, so nothing gets lost between the two.

One thing worth stating plainly. Hiring me in Bangkok costs less than hiring a developer in London, Sydney, or San Francisco. The work is the same standard. What changes is what a workday costs in each city. Going direct also means no agency is taking a cut in between. I would treat all of that as a useful side effect rather than a reason to hire anyone. Judge the work first.

How it goes

You always know what stage we are at

  1. Step 01

You tell me what is going wrong

I ask about the problem properly before anyone talks about what to build.

  2. Step 02

We agree the scope in writing

What gets built, what does not, and roughly how long, settled before I start.

  3. Step 03

    You watch it come together

Working software at each stage, reported on your clock, not a summary at the end.

  4. Step 04

You launch, and you own it

The code is yours, with a written handover so anyone can pick it up later.

About me

I am Purin Buriwong, though most people call me Pooh. I am a freelance developer in Bangkok, Thailand, and I have been building software for over seven years. That means I started before AI could write code, and I use it now the way a developer does rather than as a shortcut around understanding things.

I also run pawjai.co myself, so I know what it is like to still be looking after something two years after launch. A bit more about how I work

Work arrives in stages you can see, and everything is yours at the end. If you ever want someone else to take it over, nothing stops you.

AI can do almost anything now. But putting up a cathedral and keeping one standing are two different problems, and if the foundation is wrong, it comes down eventually. That is the part I want you to be sure about before we build anything.

Tell me what you are trying to build

A rough idea is enough to start with. Tell me what your business does and what is getting in the way, and I will let you know honestly whether I can help and where I would start.

I take on a few projects at a time, so I can give each one proper attention.

About the service

Purin Buriwong, who goes by Pooh, is a freelance software developer based in Bangkok, Thailand. He builds business websites and back-office systems for customers, and he takes remote work with clients in Thailand and abroad. He has been building software for more than seven years, he was on the developer team at Agoda, and he founded and still runs pawjai.co. He works in English and Thai. Reach him by email at askpurin@pm.me.

Business systems and internal software. Orders, stock, customer records, team workflow, and the reporting an owner wants to open without asking anyone. Built around how a business already works rather than forcing it into someone else's product. Start with the one job costing you the most time, then connect the rest when it earns its place.See what that looks like

Business websites for owners who need to be found.A site that explains what you do in seconds, earns trust from what a visitor can see, and makes contact effortless. Built to be read by search engines and by AI assistants from the start, which is part of the job rather than an upgrade sold afterwards.See examples

Repairing sites that AI started. A one round inspection and repair service for a site that is nearly finished and cannot launch. Send the link and he tells you what is worth keeping, what needs rebuilding, and whether repairing it is worth your money at all.See the scope

Contract work alongside an existing team. For companies that already have a team and a plan and want another experienced developer for an agreed period. Front end, back end, and the structural work that lets the team keep maintaining it after he leaves.

Can I hire a freelance developer in Thailand for remote work?

Yes. Purin Buriwong (Pooh) is a freelance software developer based in Bangkok, Thailand, and he takes remote work with clients abroad as well as customers inside Thailand. He builds business websites and back-office systems, works in English and Thai, and can be reached by email at askpurin@pm.me. He has been building software for more than seven years, was on the developer team at Agoda, and runs his own product, pawjai.co.

I built my site with AI and it will not launch. What now?

Send the link to someone who can read the inside of it before you decide anything. Most stalled AI built sites fail on the same short list: publishing and domains, phone layouts, forms that submit nowhere, logins, speed, and search engines not reading the page. Those are bounded problems with bounded fixes. Purin Buriwong inspects the real site first and tells you whether repairing it is worth the money before any work is agreed.See what he takes on

How do time zones work with a developer in Bangkok?

Bangkok runs six or seven hours ahead of London depending on the season, and sits close to the working day in Australia and Singapore, so an afternoon in Bangkok is a morning in Europe. For clients in the Americas, one agreed time each week usually covers it. Purin Buriwong keeps his own hours in Bangkok but reports progress at whatever time suits the client's own time zone. In practice the time difference matters far less than having the scope written down and being able to watch the work as it goes.

Who owns the code at the end of a project?

You do. Everything built is handed over with a written explanation of how it works, so your own team or a different developer can pick it up without needing the original author. Nothing is held back and nothing is tied to one person. If you want to move it elsewhere later, you can.See the common questions
